Here are some of ‘awardings’ of The Versatile Blogger, numbers 3-5:
Halfway Between The Gutter & The Stars
- she is very brave in sharing herself the way she does
108zenbooks - she is wrestling with the dharma teachings, & manages lucid expositions of rather arcane ideas, haha
Flickr Comments by FrizzText - for the inspiration of the A-Z Archive (a photo challenge)
For several days, I didn’t do the diligent documenting of everything I ate & drank, & thought about my weight, figure & eating. I was telling myself that it just “didn’t seem to be working very well” & wasn’t making any difference. But really — I just didn’t want to SEE what I was doing. The old habit — eating to cover up uncomfortable feelings — was reasserting its emotional hegemony, & I was losing my battle with it. So, committed as I SAY I AM to truly watching my mind, & seeing its machinations for what they really are, I am going to stay with the noting of all the food & beverage intake. **sigh, it IS boring**
BIG insight though: If I were the caretaker of an actual temple, say the Parthenon,
or a cathedral, synagogue, what-have-you, I would not allow disrespectful people to come in & vandalize the place. So — given that I am revisioning my physical being as The Temple of My Spirit, why would I allow too much junk food? or the beer? or the food that makes me feel bloated & tired, & weepy 3 days later? The course is now clear ………….
